WhiskeyRiff.com has been very vocal this year about their love of “Five More Minutes.” This new article claims this song “is the one to take his career to a new level.” Are they right? Scotty just got back from New York City where he taped an appearance on the “Harry” daytime television series that will air this Friday, Nov. 18.  Check your local listings for times.  Scotty talked with host Harry Connick Jr. about his “American Idol” days, his book Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, his girlfriend Gabi and more. In addition, he performed “See You Tonight” with Harry’s band –- and  it is awesome to hear that song with brass horns playing on it.  Check out these photos, but check out “Harry” when it airs on Nov. 18.

Scotty is among several artists who recorded “The Human Race,” an empowering anthem set to premiere on Thursday, Nov. 17 (5:00 PM/ET) on Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country.  The single will be available for purchase beginning Friday, Nov. 18 on iTunes and will also be available for free download on the T-Mobile Tuesdays app while supplies last on Nov. 22. In conjunction with its release and in celebration of Radio Disney’s “Share the Joy” campaign, a donation is being made to City of Hope, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Toys for Tots, Feeding America, and Musicians on Call.  The song was recorded in Nashville just a few weeks ago. In addition to Scotty, other artists who perform on the single include Kelsea Ballerini, LoCash, Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton, Lindsay Ell, Savannah Keyes, Temecula road, Kalie Shorr, Lacy Cavalier, Alana Springsteen, Bailey Bryan, Jessie Chris, CB30, Tegan Marie, Jordan Fisher, Alex Aiono, Chloe x Halle, and Skylar Stecker.  A sneak peak of “The Human Race” music video will be broadcast during “The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration” airing on ABC on Thursday, Nov. 24 at 8:00 PM/ET.  You can read the Taste of Country.com story and see a photo of Scotty in the recording studio HERE. 

Scotty has been nominated in the online Rare Country Awards for RARE COUNTRY GRAND OLE OPRY MOMENT OF THE YEAR for his performance of “Five More Minutes.”  Beginning today, Tuesday, Nov. 15, and running through Dec. 15, you can go to RareCountryAwards.com to cast your vote.  Check the rules at the website, as you can vote a certain number of times per e-mail address each day. Winners will be announced on Dec. 15.

Scotty appeared on the NFL Network’s “Fantasy and Friends” yesterday (Nov. 8) to have hosts Maurice Jones-Drew and Dave Dameshek set his fantasy football line-up for the week. He appeared live via Skype from his North Carolina home where his Christmas holiday decorations were already on display. Dameshek called him out on his early celebration. “I get in the spirit early,” said Scotty, who went on to sing an ode to his hero New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady to the tune of “O Christmas Tree.”  Highlights from his appearance can be viewed here.
