Following a blockbuster year in 2023, including an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry, Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery continues to amp things up in 2024 with back-to-back sold out shows during the opening weekend of his Cab in a Solo Tour at Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio and Blue Gate Performing Arts Center in Shipshewana, Indiana. Anne Wilson served as direct support in Troy while Greylan James opened both nights.
“The only thing better than launching my new ‘Cab in a Solo Tour’ with two sold out shows…is to launch it with three sold out shows!” exclaimed McCreery. “Just learned our next show, which is in Durham, is also sold out! The band, crew, and I have been looking forward to this tour since we announced it last fall. Glad to see the fans are excited about it as well!”
McCreery’s headlining Cab in a Solo Tour continues this Thursday as he returns to his home state with the tour’s THIRD consecutive sold out show in Durham, N.C. followed by dates in Atlanta, Ga. and Chattanooga, Tenn. that both have low ticket warnings. McCreery will be joined by Anne Wilson as direct support as well as Greylan James and Noah Hicks on select dates. The tour, produced by Live Nation, will continue to trek across the U.S. with stops in Boston, Philadelphia, Syracuse and more.

Ahead of the sold out weekend, McCreery released the official music video for his current radio single, “Cab in a Solo.” The video made its broadcast premiere on CMT, followed by an airing on the Paramount billboard in New York City’s Times Square before making its online debut on YouTube with McCreery joining for a special live chat with fans. Last year, McCreery was inducted to the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame, joining previously inducted artists like Eric Church, Charlie Daniels, Andy Griffith, Ronnie Milsap, Thelonious Monk, Nina Simone, James Taylor, Randy Travis and more. And in December, one of his country music heroes, Garth Brooks, invited him to join the Grand Ole Opry, an honor that McCreery has dreamed about since he was a kid.
