SCOTTY McCREERY ANNOUNCES HIS 2022 SAME TRUCK TOUR

Following his fourth consecutive No. 1 single “You Time” and the release of his fifth studio album Same Truck, Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery keeps the momentum rolling as he announces his 2022 Same Truck Tour, featuring 15 dates across the U.S. where fans can expect to hear his new single, “Damn Strait,” along with his multiple RIAA Platinum and Gold certified hits from throughout his decade-long career. Most dates will feature either Tenille Arts, Callista Clark, or Kameron Marlowe as direct support with King Calaway as the opening act. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Oct. 29 at 10 am local time at ScottyMcCreery.com.
“I am looking forward to kicking off 2022 with my Same Truck Tour,” said McCreery. “I’m also glad to have Tenille, Callista, Kameron and King Calaway joining us for select dates. It’s gonna be a great way to start the new year!”
Last month, McCreery released his fifth studio album to applause from fans and critics, with Billboard sharing that hitmaker “continues proving his mettle not only in the recording booth, but in the writing room, as a co-writer on the bulk of the project’s songs,” while Tennessean shares, “McCreery walks a sonic tightrope that leans into his country influences while not abandoning modern Music Row hitmaking.”
McCreery gave fans a taste of what to anticipate on the Same Truck Tour as he performed his latest single “Damn Strait” on fellow Idol alum Kelly Clarkson’s “The Kelly Clarkson Show” last week, an early favorite from the album as Rolling Stone named the track a “Pick of the Week,” for its “clever songwriting, delivered by one of the genres’ best King George disciples.” Watch the television performance from Tuesday, Oct. 19 HERE.
On Same Truck, the Garner, North Carolina native shifts his perspective to reflect on the last decade of his career and life with wife Gabi and dog Moose, co-writing 10 of the 12 tracks, Billboard observing “McCreery's rich, resonant voice has never felt more confident and self-assured, and his voice as a songwriter is strong.”
Same Truck was produced by Rogers, Eshuis and Derek Wells, the team who produced Seasons Change, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. McCreery co-wrote every song on that album.

Scotty McCreery's 2018 Billboard Country Airplay chart-topper "Five More Minutes" will soon get the Hallmark television movie treatment. The song has inspired a movie by the same title, which will air Nov. 20 at 10 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel.
In the movie, which stars Nikki DeLoach and David Haydn-Jones, a woman's holiday wish is answered in unexpected ways when her late grandfather's journal is discovered, revealing a previously untold romance.
Though McCreery will not appear in the movie, he does serve as an executive producer on the project.
ICYMI: Scotty McCreery Performed New Single "Damn Strait" on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," 10/19
Following his fourth consecutive No. 1 with the MusicRow-dubbed “upbeat and romantic” ode “You Time,” Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” for the first time yesterday, Oct. 19, to perform his new single “Damn Strait” from his latest album Same Truck. Watch his performance HERE.
With 51 first week stations, “Damn Strait” is McCreery’s most added song ever during an initial add week at country radio. An instant fan favorite since its release, “Damn Strait” was named as a “Pick of the Week” by Rolling Stone for its “clever songwriting, delivered by one of the genres’ best King George disciples,” while Billboard praised, “Another ace is the clever track ‘Damn Strait,’ a rare outside cut on the project, penned by Trent Tomlinson and Jim Collins, in which McCreery name checks several of King George's greatest hits.”
On Same Truck, the Garner, North Carolina native shifts his perspective to reflect on the last decade of his career and life with wife Gabi and dog Moose, co-writing 10 of the 12 tracks, with Tennessean sharing, “McCreery walks a sonic tightrope that leans into his country influences while not abandoning modern Music Row hitmaking,” while Billboard observes “McCreery's rich, resonant voice has never felt more confident and self-assured, and his voice as a songwriter is strong.”
“You Time,” the lead single from Same Truck, followed McCreery’s three back-to-back No. 1 hits from the RIAA Gold-certified Seasons Change: the Double RIAA Platinum-certified “Five More Minutes,” Platinum-certified “This is It,” and Gold-certified “In Between.” Same Truck was produced by Rogers, Eshuis and Derek Wells, the team who produced Seasons Change, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. McCreery co-wrote every song on that album.

“Damn Strait,” written by Trent Tomlinson and Jim Collins, is the recently released, second single from McCreery’s new album Same Truck, which was released in September. SCOTTY McCREERY EARNS FOURTH CONSECUTIVE NO. 1 WITH “YOU TIME”
On the heels of last week’s release of his fifth studio album Same Truck, multi-Platinum selling Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery earns his fourth consecutive No. 1 hit with lead single “You Time,” a MusicRow-dubbed “upbeat and romantic” ode to his wife Gabi that captured the hearts and ears of fans and Country radio alike.
“This song, like so many of my songs, was inspired by my wife Gabi as well as my desire to spend more time with her in the midst of our busy careers,” said McCreery. “Thanks to country radio, my co-writers Frank and Aaron, to the Triple Tigers Records promotion team and Triple 8 Management, and as always, to my fans. I have missed you during this past year while the world did stop spinning, and I’m glad to be back out on the road to see you.”
Co-written with producers Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis, “You Time” follows McCreery’s three back-to-back No. 1 hits from the RIAA Gold-certified Seasons Change: the Double RIAA Platinum-certified “Five More Minutes,” Platinum-certified “This is It,” and Gold-certified “In Between.”
“With the last 17 weeks in a row of triple digit spin growth at radio, ‘You Time’ has been a solid hit all the way up the chart,” said Kevin Herring, SVP of Promotion for Triple Tigers Records.
The next single from the album, already a fan favorite, will be “Damn Strait,” which Rolling Stone named a “Pick of the Week” calling it “clever songwriting, delivered by one of the genres’ best King George disciples” while Billboard praises, “Another ace is the clever track ‘Damn Strait,’ a rare outside cut on the project, penned by Trent Tomlinson and Jim Collins, in which McCreery name checks several of King George's greatest hits.”
Same Truck was produced by Rogers, Eshuis and Derek Wells, the team who produced Seasons Change, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. McCreery co-wrote every song on that album.
