CALLISTA CLARK TO RELEASE DUET WITH SCOTTY McCREERY

“Gettin’ Old” Hits August 9, Major Music Video Directed by Roman White to Follow

Gettin Old CoverCallista Clark hasn’t slowed down writing, recording and touring since becoming Country radio’s most successful new artist debut of 2021. Through her new relationship with Dreamcatcher Artists, she will release the powerful duet “Gettin’ Old” featuring Scotty McCreery on August 9, 2024. Pre-save HERE.

“Scotty was my first choice for a duet partner on ‘Gettin’ Old,’” said Callista. “I’ve always loved his voice and how he approaches his career. He absolutely nailed this song.”

Callista wrote “Gettin’ Old” with Averie Bielski and Karen Kasowski. Joey Hyde and Frank Rogers share production credits on the song, which will be released on the Dreamcatcher Artists label and distributed by STEM.

“I’ve been a fan of Callista and her talent for some time, especially after having her out on my European Tour a few years ago,” said McCreery. “I loved this song from the first time I heard it, and was honored that she asked me to sing it with her.”

The two shot a stunning music video conceived, produced and directed by award-winning film maker Roman White for Red Mill Productions in Nashville on July 28, which will be released in the coming weeks.

Callista released “Bless Your Heart,” her first single for Dreamcatcher, earlier this year. It was immediately added to the cover of streaming giant Pandora’s popular Top Country Hits playlist and received substantial editorial and organic support at all major streaming platforms. She followed with “Reckless” and a haunting version of CCR’s “Have You Ever Seen The Rain,” culminating in a fan and industry facing live show on September 10 in Nashville and an EP release on September 27.

McCreery is currently rising up the country charts with "Fall of Summer," his second single from his critically acclaimed album Rise & Fall.  The first single from the album, "Cab in a Solo," was McCreery's sixth No. 1 hit.

Scotty McCreery Talks New Album 'Rise & Fall' on 'The Jennifer Hudson Show'

On the heels of releasing his most critically acclaimed album to date, Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery was a guest yesterday on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.” He and host Jennifer Hudson reminisced on their time on “American Idol” and how the reality competition helped shape the artists they are today. They also discussed McCreery’s recent induction into the Grand Ole Opry as well as his fifth studio album Rise & Fall.

“I have been wanting to meet Jennifer Hudson for years, and she did not disappoint,” said McCreery. “I had such a great time coming on her show and talking with her about everything from our experiences on ‘Idol’ to my new album Rise & Fall. It felt like we’ve known each other for years. I’ve always felt the ‘Idol’ alumni are a family, so it was great to finally meet my talented big sister!”

The appearance follows his sixth No. 1 hit on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Chart with lead single “Cab in a Solo.” Check out the interview HERE and HERE. And listen to the album Rolling Stone says is “every bit as legit as Jamey Johnson’s That Lonesome Song, Garth Brooks’ In Pieces, or Randy Travis’ Storms of Life,” HERE.

The second single from the new album, “Fall of Summer,” is at country radio now and was most added its first week.

“Across the 13-track collection, McCreery exhibits his continued growth as a vocalist and songwriter,” notes Holler. People echoes the sentiment, writing that the album “brims with a newfound confidence and maturity,” while Country Now calls it “his best record yet,” as Rise & Fall finds him exploring not only heartbreak but rowdy nights, nostalgia, faith, newfound joy, fatherhood and enduring love, resulting in a project full of insightful storytelling. The album was produced by McCreery’s longtime production team of Frank Rogers, Derek Wells and Aaron Eshuis.

McCreery co-wrote 12 of the 13 songs on the album, which Billboard observes, “Light-hearted fare such as ‘Stuck Behind a Tractor’ and ‘And Countin’’ mesh with heartbreak brushoffs such as ‘Lonely,’ the bluegrass-inflected album-closer ‘Porch’ and the faith-filled ‘Red Letter Blueprint.’” It is available digitally as well as on CD and vinyl. In addition, Amazon is releasing a limited-edition forest green vinyl version of the album. Order autographed vinyl and CDs of Rise & Fall HERE.

The album features No. 1 hit “Cab in a Solo” which was most added at Country radio upon its debut, with Billboard praising, “McCreery has been on a hot streak of well-crafted, notably performed songs,” upon the track’s release, noting he “continues to slake music listeners’ affinity for ‘90s country, thanks to a neo-traditional sound connected to vivid lyricism.”In addition to the lead single McCreery has been rolling out a taste of the new music all year to great acclaim. Most recent release “Lonely” left Saving Country Music saying, “The mainstream country star has always charmed us with the richness of his voice…” while Taste of Country called the spiritual “Red Letter Blueprint,” “nostalgic yet fresh” and Country Now notes “ “Pure joy emulates through McCreery’s baritone voice,” on “Love Like This” while also calling “Can’t Pass the Bar,” “the perfect soundtrack to a Friday night.”  A full listing of the album’s songs follows.Rise & Fall track listing
