Scotty McCreery releases new song 'Feeling It': Listen HERE

Courtesy - Examiner.com

Country music artist Scotty McCreery just came out with new music and fans are excited to hear it. On April 1, Taste of Country shared his new music and the song is called "Feeling It." You can hear the new song in the video on this page. There is not a music video yet for this song.

This song is a feel good party song. It doesn't get crazy but just talks about having a good time. This song has lyrics such as "Whoa, oh, whoa / Ain’t nothin’ like feelin’ that summertime feelin’ / Kicked back, relaxed, just chillin’ / I’m feelin’, I’m feelin’ it." This has a good beat and is one song that everyone will be dancing to at concerts this summer. He talks about drinking and a little bit of kissing, but it is one that is just fine for the kids to listen to and stays true to the way that Scotty normally does his music.

Fans of Scotty McCreery are really excited to hear new music from him. This song is from his album "See You Tonight" and is the second song released from this CD.

Scotty McCreery lands third gold single in 'See You Tonight'

SMCVRScotty McCreery has plenty to be thankful for these days. The year has only just begun, and his current single "See You Tonight," the lead from his album of the same name, has officially gone gold in sales, as reported by industry publication Roughstoc

"GOLD baby!¡ Awesome having my 1st co-write released be certified #Gold! And we aint done with it yet, about to crack the top 10 real soon!" the crooner tweeted upon hearing the news. McCreery co-wrote the song with industry tastemakers Ashley Gorley ("That's My Kind of Night" by Luke Bryan) and Zach Crowell ("Cop Car" by Keith Urban).

Lifting 17,000 copies, end of the tracking week Sunday, February 9, the breezy tune rises just over the 500,000 unit mark, making it his third official gold single (out of four official radio releases). The song is currently perched one step outside of the Top 10 at radio.

This new hit single follows on the heels of his previous charting entries "I Love You This Big," which also served as his "American Idol" coronation anthem, "Trouble With Girls" and "Water Tower Town," off his debut "Clear As Day" (2011).

The "See You Tonight" set bowed at No. 1 on Billboard Top Country Albums in October, moving over 52,000 copies. It placed at No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200.

Scotty McCreery Doesn’t Get Special Treatment as a College Student

North Carolina State University student Scotty McCreery may be one of the most famous college kids around, but it doesn’t mean his professors give him special treatment. The country chart-climber opens up about his grades, relationship with professors and what it’s like to juggle school and stardom.

Originally, the 2010 ‘American Idol’ winner was attending school full-time in Raleigh, N.C., but it proved to be strenuous — and near impossible — with a schedule like his.

“That was tough,” he tells the Chicago Tribune. “It took a lot out of me to do that. Monday to Wednesday, I’d be physically in class, then Thursday to Sunday we’d tour. I’d get here late Sunday night or early Monday morning and I’d get to class. I enjoyed the challenge, but it was a big juggling act.”

As time went on, McCreery realized that in order to grow his country music career, he needed to take time away from studying to build relationships with radio programmers. He tried to do it with a full load of classes, but that took time away from studying, ultimately affecting his academic performance — even though he finished just one credit shy of the Dean’s List, “which would have been a nice clipping for the press,” he quips.

Now, he’s shouldering only part of the burden, transitioning to being a part-time student.
