McCreery co-wrote the song with industry tastemakers Ashley Gorley ("That's My Kind of Night" by Luke Bryan) and Zach Crowell ("Cop Car" by Keith Urban).
Lifting 17,000 copies, end of the tracking week Sunday, February 9, the breezy tune rises just over the 500,000 unit mark, making it his third official gold single (out of four official radio releases). The song is currently perched one step outside of the Top 10 at radio.
This new hit single follows on the heels of his previous charting entries "I Love You This Big," which also served as his "American Idol" coronation anthem, "Trouble With Girls" and "Water Tower Town," off his debut "Clear As Day" (2011).
The "See You Tonight" set bowed at No. 1 on Billboard Top Country Albums in October, moving over 52,000 copies. It placed at No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
